CIPR SPORTS NETWORK MARKETING TEAM
ELEANOR HOOPER
Eleanor began her career at Empica, supporting a wide range of client accounts by drafting press releases, building media lists, and managing social media accounts.
Passionate about sport, she has also worked in sports communications, leading PR activity for British kart driver Charlie Simmonds, managing social media content for local sports organisations, and producing long-form features as Head Writer at Thinking Formula, a platform exploring Formula 1 storytelling, sponsorship activations, and fan engagement.
She is enthusiastic about supporting best practice in sports communications and contributing to the CIPR Sports Network.
GILLIAN RAWLING
Gillian Rawling is a recent LSE graduate in media and communication governance.
Originally a US-based journalist, she has worked across EMEA healthcare communications.
Now in London, she is working towards a career in strategic communications.
Her first interaction with sports PR was working during a PGA golf tournament near her hometown in Wisconsin, where she helped to leverage interviews with key local players and PGA officials.
Since then, she has helped cover LPGA events, Division I American football at her undergraduate university, competitive figure skating and rowing.
She is thrilled to help out with CIPR's Sports Network and collaborate with leaders in the field of sports communication to gain a deeper understanding of football and motorsport in the UK.
ISOBEL PERRY
Izzy Perry is fascinated by the way sport connects people, tells stories and drives meaningful change.
She has worked for an international PR agency, contributing to their Sport for Good white paper by speaking with teams, sponsors and charities who use sport to make a positive impact around the world.
Before that, Izzy gained experience across partnerships, marketing and live events, working with leading brands and sporting organisations.
Her work has taken her from The Wimbledon Championships, Royal Ascot and Twickenham, to international sporting events in Sydney and the Great Barrier Reef.
As part of the CIPR Sport Network, Izzy is passionate about the role communication plays in celebrating purpose and progress across the industry.
Curious and creative by nature, she is eager to keep learning and contribute to projects that highlight sport’s unique power to inspire and unite.
